Fantom DunDeal

In the music industry it’s important to have a unique name which sets you apart from your peers and Fantom DunDeal is fully aware of this. Explaining how he got his unique name he told us:
"Me and my people's was studying what name I would move with, I thought because I am gonna do this for the love of music and the people, why not call myself FANS"
After realizing that his name needed more Tom was then added then finally DunDeal.
Born Arlon Griffith, this musical 23 year old was initially a reggae artist but was introduced to rapping while staying in St James [Barbados], where he found himself surrounded by people who were obsessed with Hip Hop. Influenced by this Fantom quickly became hooked and started rapping and later formed a group with local talent; Dexter, Da Vinci and Don Carot called C Profits. But this was short lived as the group went their separate ways shortly after leaving secondary school.
While at college Fantom found himself increasingly distracted by music:
"I couldn't sleep unless music was playing, eat unless music was on, I couldn't even do my school work in college unless music was on" -Fantom DunDeal
After a bit of encouragement he finally decided to start taking his music career seriously and take that 1st big step and find a studio to record in. After working on a variety of projects it was a seasonal hip hop track called 'Bajan Christmas 'that made people aware of his arrival.
Having had numerous radio hits, including "the honour of holding the 98.1's hit of the day several times" and being number 1 on many internet music charts this determined young man is fast becoming a household name. With his debut album "Caught Up" already out worldwide success is just around the corner for Fantom DunDeal.

I’m an aspiring musician. I mainly do hip hop music, but I also collaborate in all genres of music including Dancehall, R&B, Pop and even alternative

How long you've been doing it for ?
I’ve been doing music since my high school days, so I'd say about 6 years.

I am influenced by any artist that appeals to me, Cassidy, Biggy, Tupac, 50 cent, Common, Kanye West etc

What you write about and how would you describe your music?
It depends on my mood. Each song has its own criteria, my music is never the same.

Have you been involved in any projects?
I’ve done a couple of tracks here and there with local people. I’m grateful to have done any work.
Who would you like to work with in the future?
My close friends and people who are serious about their music.

DreGargon

Adrian Barton aka Dregargon is a singer, deejay and rapper hailing from St. Ann’s Bay Jamaica.
His early music career began in the church where dancehall and reggae music were seen as disrespectful. Regularly singing lead in the choir he was able to develop his musical talents.
It was through attending Cornwall college in Montego Bay where Adrian was first introduced to rap and hip hop.
At the tender age of 16 Adrian moved to Melbourne, Florida where he was introduced to a rapper by a fellow classmate and at 17 he recorded a song called "Why you niggaz wah play." Being mostly encouraged to rap as a rude boy or to sing gangster lyrics, local rappers began to enjoy his new sound and asked him to feature on their sounds.
Dregargon, who is a fan of the ladies
"I mostly do it for the ladies"- Dregargon
Has changed his lyrics to talk about the thing he likes most.
His first album "Making you dance" has taken the clubs by storm. Always putting God first this 20 year old is currently working on his new album "Versatility" which is due out early 2008 so look out for it as DreGargon is gonna be big!

Feenaum Inkredible Muzik

Growing up in The Bronx New York, Rapper Feenaum has always loved being on the stage Whether it was doing shows, beat boxing, dancing or acting; if it meant he could perform in frount of people, he was interested.
“In High School I was like the human beat machine for the rappers in my school. They used to pull me out of class so I could come into the cafeteria to do beats for them” -Feenaum-
So from 2001 Multitalented Feenaum started to compose his own music. As he played the trumpet and piano he already had a basic understanding of music and was able to use this to his advantage. 2002 Saw Feenaum free styling and doing shows, this is where he met his business partner Citi Life, who was also an artist.
Now in Atlanta GA he has a production company with Citi Life called Inkredible Muzik and is doing production for local acts as well as working on Citi Life’s Album. Even though Feenaum has been busy on these projects he still made time to do a video for his track Imagine, which is a stand out track for FU. ‘Imagine’ has a laid back soulful vibe and is one of those songs that you actually listen to the lyrics and think to yourself, ‘Yeah I feel what this artist is saying’
With musical influences ranging from Common, Mos Def and Timberland to Earth Wind and Fire, Bob Marley and The Beetles, Feenaums forthcoming album is sure to be a very unique blend of hip hop tracks. In addition to this ,the high quality production and well thought out lyrics are why FU thinks Feenaum is definitely a rapper to look out for in 2007.
